Building on success

The 2024 celebrations will build on the foundation laid in previous years. With international coverage, a reputable standing amongst press and participants, and continued partnerships with renowned ocean advocates, we are committed to making this year's event even more impactful.

During 2023's activities, we expanded the celebration beyond a single day and welcomed ocean storytellers from around the world. This helped to establish Jersey as a hub for ocean advocacy and solidified our commitment to celebrating and protecting our oceans.

2024 Ambitions

Celebrate Local Ocean Culture

We believe there is a universal ocean culture that connects us all that can be celebrated through the power of storytelling and organic collaboration.

Local Marine Conservation

Celebrate local organisations and businesses working to raise awareness and restore health to our ocean .

Improve Ocean Literacy

Improve understanding of the ocean's influence on you and your influence on the ocean.

Encourage Future Funding

SDG 14 on the ocean has received the least funding of all Sustainable Development Goals. This urgently calls for more funding and support in this area.
